I've had a couple such experiences in recent days:
1) I'd put the girls to bed Wednesday night and was just leaving the room, saying, "I love you," to which Alathea replied in her little baby voice, "I love you, too, Mommy." She could've asked me for just about anything at that point and gotten it!
2) In the middle of the night Alathea was crying and couldn't stop coughing. As I was trying to settle her, Sophia said groggily from her bed, "It's okay, Lay" and then started singing Rock-A-Bye Baby to her--yes, this is how I was hoping these sisters would relate! (But at the risk of presenting an overly rosy picture of their relationship, there's also plenty of toy-snatching and whining at each other, too!)
love it! They could say almost anything in those little squeaky munchkin voices and sound cute, but it sure is nice when its "I love you mommy"!
