Thanks Kim & Brenda

Our dear friends from church always remember our kids on their birthdays and other special occasions. Thanks so much for blessing Theo with these gifts!

Walking & One

Theo's learned a lot in the past year--most recently how to walk and use any object to hand as a phone. He's brought our whole family a lot of joy and he enjoyed his birthday, complete with a cake that looked like his favorite book!
Thanks for my presents, Grandma & Grandpa!

Thanks to Uncle Andy's Family

Thanks for the placemats you sent us via Grandma! (Theo's now learning how to say thank you, too...)

Thanks to Uncle Josh's Family

Thanks for the lovely Christmas and birthday presents! We're enjoying them all!

Thanksgiving Service

Earlier in the month our family had a service at church to thank God for Theo's life, as well as to promise to raise him to know Jesus.

Theo's opening a book by Max Lucado called You are Special, which our friend, Sarah, gave him on the occasion. The girls enjoy the story already, and I'm sure Theo will, too.

Half-Decade

We've been blessed by Alathea for half a decade now. This year she wanted her best friends from preschool days (most of whom also go to school with her now) to come over for a tea party playdate.

Small View of Christmas

Thank you Aunt Chelsey and family for the Disney Princess Lego and See 'n Say. They were well received! (Sorry these videos are dark...)

Junior Choir

Wednesdays after school Sophia enjoys Junior Choir (for Years 3-6 at her school). As 2014 was the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I, the children sang songs from that era, including "It's a Long Way to Tipperary" and "Silent Night" in German:

Hybrid Jesse Tree

We had to squeeze our little tree into a corner next to the couch this year with a barricade in front to keep Theo (a.k.a. "Destructo-baby") from pulling it over. As a way of counting down the Advent season this year, the girls colored little pictures each day from a Bible story and hung them on the tree, starting with creation and tracing some of the main characters/events leading up to Jesus. They also wanted to use our usual tree ornaments, so we had a hybrid "Jesse Tree."

For Elijah

A little something made with love by Uncle Wes, Sophia & Alathea--using the stop-action feature on the camera Alathea got for her 5th birthday earlier this month.

We're thinking of you with lots of love today, Elijah. I can't believe you're 9!
