Pie Man

Speaking of Wes and perseverance (see previous post), here's another example. After my pie crust fiasco in the fall, I haven't had the motivation to try again. Wes, on the other hand, has been gleaning tips off cooking shows, including brushing the crust with egg wash to give it a nice golden-brown color. So, in his head-long pursuit of pie perfection, Wes is hosting a pie competition for his male colleagues. (See the invite Wes' Relay Worker, Dave, made for the event below.) Wes plans to make a meat pie for the occasion, a practice version of which you see below.
