American Christmas food is fairly unprescribed, so this year we opted for roast beef, but the parsnips and Yorkshire pudding offered a little Britishness to the dish.
For dessert we tried a Southern American favorite--sweet potato casserole with praline topping, which is how Wes' mom makes it. But I love the British dessert ethic: Whatever you're eating is probably better with cream on top. Why not?
