Barcelona

Facebook viewers will have to go to our blog at http://wbsenglish.blogspot.com to see the slideshow.

I could sum up our trip in several key words: friends, warm weather, just adults, lots of food, laid-back, and Gaudi. Keep reading if you want more.

We had a pleasant 4-day trip to Barcelona this week. Friends from Texas, the Aycocks, were excellent companions, translators, and guides. We also got to see Betsy's friend from years ago, Rick Menzies, and his family, who live in Barcelona. We saw lots of Gaudi's architecture (my favorite was Parc Guell), and we ate lots of food--tapas, paella, cafe con leche, and more. One day we took an hour train ride and a cable car up to a monastery in the mountains, and the last morning we went to the beach.

Sophia stayed with friends in London, the Weavers, to whom we are forever grateful. She had a great time there and was well behaved!

  1. Gaudi's designs are amazing. I love the house with the colourful walls and dragonish features.
